Scan documents to PDF online

Take or choose photos, and get one clean, straightened PDF. It all happens in your browser: nothing is uploaded.

Your photos are processed in your browser and never uploaded.

How to scan a document to PDF with your phone

  1. Take a photo of each page on a flat, contrasting surface, or choose photos from your gallery.
  2. Put the pages in order and leave “Straighten and enhance” on: each page is cropped, straightened and brightened.
  3. Press Create PDF. You get one PDF with one page per photo, downloaded to your device.

Your photos never leave your device

The cleanup runs in your browser. We don't upload your photos or keep them anywhere: the first time you press the button your browser downloads an image library (about 10 MB) and does all the work locally. That matters for ID cards, contracts and invoices.

Why not just use a scanner app?

Scanner apps are great when you scan every day. This is for the other times: you're on a computer or on a phone where you don't want to install anything, you don't want an account or a watermark, or the photo reached you on WhatsApp.

  • No account, no subscription, no watermark.
  • Works on any phone or computer with a browser.
  • Multi-page PDF in the order you choose.
  • Nothing is uploaded: your documents stay yours.

What people scan with it

  • ID cards and passports (a copy centred on an A4 page).
  • Receipts and invoices for the accountant.
  • Contracts, forms and signed documents.
  • Delivery notes, letters and certificates.

Tips for a clean scan

  • Use daylight and avoid the shadow of your phone or hand.
  • Put the document on a surface of a different colour (a dark table for white paper).
  • Keep the whole page in the photo, with a small margin.
  • Hold the phone parallel to the page: the tool corrects the angle but not blur.

Limits

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no account, no subscription and no watermark on your PDF.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. The straightening and the PDF are created in your browser. The only thing downloaded is the image library (about 10 MB) the first time.

Can I make a PDF with several pages?

Yes: add up to 20 photos, put them in order with the arrows and press Create PDF.

Does it work with ID cards and passports?

Yes. The card is cropped, straightened and centred on an A4 page, which is how copies of identity documents are usually filed. Since nothing is uploaded, your document stays on your device.

Does the PDF have selectable text?

No, the PDF contains the scanned images. If you need the data as text or in a spreadsheet, use the extraction tool on this page.
