• Extracted Data: Data extracted from documents you process through our service. This data is stored encrypted.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services.
• Process your documents using AI (AWS Bedrock).
• Manage your account and provide customer support.
• Send you technical notices, updates, and security alerts.

3. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored in the European Union (AWS region eu-north-1). We use industry-standard encryption (AES-256) to protect your extracted data.

Document Retention: We do not store the original documents (images/PDFs) after processing. The extracted JSON data is stored for 1 year to allow you to consult your history.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of WhappScan except in the following cases:

• With your consent.
• For external processing: We use trusted service providers like AWS (for infrastructure and AI) and Stripe (for payments).
• For legal reasons: To meet any applicable law, regulation, or legal process.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data. You also have the right to data portability and to object to the processing of your data.
